Emily + Rider

Engagement Session

I stood at the top of Squaw Peak with my camera, clicking away as Emily and Rider enjoyed a peaceful moment together. There were a ton of people there enjoying the sunset with us, but Emily wanted some quiet, intimate time with her fiancee. We switched from our high energy we had had for most of the shoot, and instead took a deep breath and let a calm peace permeate the atmosphere.

Rider is from Texas, while Emily has moved to a bunch of different state throughout the midwest in her life. Just like their wedding, they wanted a country vibe that felt like home to both of them. Watching them laugh together, and fall in each other’s arms, was a beautiful southern dream come true.

Emily and Rider were laughing with each other the whole time, and it honestly felt like I was watching them on a date instead of a photoshoot. Their personalities are so matched for each other, and Rider has such a good warm sense of humor! It was a perfect match for Emily.

Emily and Rider, thank you for your fun and loving nature. This session was so beautiful, and I love how happy and genuine you two are together. I can’t wait to see you for your first look in a few months!
