Khayla + Connor

It all started on a birthday trip for Connor years ago. Knowing his love of sports cars, and knowing which car was Connor’s dream car, Khayla set up an entire trip based around getting him the perfect birthday present- time racing around a real track in his dream car. It was the thought and effort put into that trip that made Connor realize Khayla was more than just a girlfriend, she was the perfect “wifey material”. Ironically, it was also the planning of this same trip that made Khayla realize her feelings for Connor were real and deep. It was on this trip that she knew she really loved this boy.

Once they realized they were in love, there was no stopping this ride. This beautiful country wedding was the product of months planning, and many long nights making sure every detail was perfect! But it’s not just about the wedding for Khayla and Connor, it’s about the marriage. When asked why marriage was so important to them, they said “Marriage is announcing to the world that you have found your person. It demonstrates a mutual trust and respect for one another, and that is a beautiful thing.”

This particular first look was one to remember. We had cleared everybody away from the entrance, and Connor was practically shaking with anticipation! Behind him, his best man Jonathan walked up in a veil and a white sheet. When it was time turn around, you could hear Connor take a deep breath to prepare himself. He turned around to find the last person he expected! Shock and surprise filled his face, but soon he and Jonathan were hugging each other, unable to stop laughing.

Finally, it was time to bring Khayla out for real. Connor took that same deep breath, but instead of seeing Jonathan, this time he turned and saw his beautiful bride in all her glory. The moment was so emotional that tears filled both their eyes. “I need a moment” Connor whispered as he sat down on a nearby bench, head in his hands, and just stared at Khayla. When Khayla insisted he get up and hug her he said “I’m afraid to touch you, you’re just so…precious.”

Khayla and Connor, any fool can see how madly in love the two of you are. Watching you guys know each other so intimately, and care for each other in a way that only you know how, is amazing to see. It’s clear that both of you put the other’s needs before even your own! I feel absolutely honored to have been able to capture you two on your wedding day, but even more honored to be able to call you friends. I am so happy for you guys, and I hope these pictures will be able to bring you joy for the rest of your lives!
