Cecilia + Ethan

Engagement Session

I knew this session was going to be off the charts as soon as Cecilia and Ethan suggested taking their engagement photos in the same spot where they got engaged. Ethan knew what he was doing when he chose this spot, because the the beautiful Raleigh skyline and gorgeous flowering trees in Dorothea Dix Park made for an absolutely picture perfect place to take the most beautiful Raleigh engagement photos.

When they got engaged, Ethan had hired a picnic company to set up a gorgeous display and enlisted the help of some of Cecilia’s best friends to make sure this surprise went off without a hitch. They had both taken the day off of work when Ethan suggested they grab their dogs and take a walk around. As they rounded the corner of the park and saw the beautiful picnic, Cecilia’s original thought was that they were crashing someone else’s special moment! But when Ethan got down on one knee and her best friends jumped out of hiding with cameras and champagne, she knew this flawless setup was planned just for her. Cecilia says “It was such a magical moment and everything I ever wanted in a proposal! We celebrated and drank champagne and hot chocolate as we overlooked the city where we met! It was PERFECT!”

I think it was obvious to everyone at that park that these two are madly in love. The way they look at each other is proof of that! Cecilia mentioned that Ethan has been her rock through a number of trials that she’s been through. He’s the one there to support her when she needs it most. For Ethan, no one spoils him or cares for him the way she does.

Even during our session, wrangling three dogs and trying to avoid the rain, the closeness these two had was so cute it was undeniable! Thankfully we had Cecilia’s mom, Chris, there to help with those happy pups while Cecilia and Ethan snuggled together for some cute shots.

Cecilia and Ethan, I had so much fun getting to explore Dorothea Dix Park with you and see the exact spot where Ethan proposed! I can only imagine how lovely your wedding day is going to be, and how absolutely happy you guys will be together as husband and wife!
