Eliza may not have thought anything of the fact that her three roommates were all related to this cute boy she knew, but it gave Jacob an awesome excuse to come and visit his sisters and his cousin in Eliza’s apartment all the time. Unbeknownst to Eliza, he actually was working up the courage to ask her out from the first moment they met. Unfortunately it would take him a couple months to ask her, and she actually moved out of her apartment before he was able to. All was not lost though, and they managed to find each other again in a different apartment complex the next year.
Eliza had grown close to his family in this time, and she decided to host weekly pancake nights at her place. Everyone would hang out, eat some delicious breakfast food, and get to know each other. These pancake get-togethers was when Eliza first started to take notice of Jacob and develop feelings for him. This was perfect timing, because it was at the end of one of these pancake dinners that Jacob finally decided enough was enough- he needed to ask her out. After all the guests had left, he came back to knock on her door and ask her out to dinner the next week.
After they dated for a while and fell madly in love with each other, it was time to take their relationship to the next level. Eliza’s family concocted a sneaky plan so that Jacob could surprise her with a proposal when she was least expecting it. Eliza got an emergency call from her sister, Mairi, who was “freaking out and needed her help right away”. Her sister told her to meet her on this beautiful bridge in Provo so they could talk things out. When Jacob and Eliza arrived, they saw Mairi on the bridge where she was supposed to meet them, but started walking away as soon as they approached.
It was only when they reached the middle of the bridge that Eliza noticed beautiful string lights that decorated the railings. She turned around to find Jacob on one knee, with this gorgeous ring in his hands. Of course this gave Eliza such a soft spot for bridges, and we had to find a way to incorporate one into their engagement session!
Eliza and Jacob, I am so happy you two have found each other! You seem like a match made in heaven, and I can’t wait until your wedding in November. Not only are you both so beautiful, you’re also such a sweet couple together!
