How Texas is too Texas? Well first of all, that’s a trick question because you can never be “too into” Texas. Khayla had told Connor she had to get engaged on Texas soil no matter the circumstance, so she really wasn’t expecting anything when they went on a vacation together to New Mexico.

It was summertime, and the once snowy ski slopes were now just a beautiful meadow. The two packed a picnic lunch, and set out to find the prettiest part of the meadow for their date. Khayla had no idea what was in store for her.

Finally the perfect spot was found, and Khayla began to unpack their supplies when Connor reached into his backpack and pulled out a bag of dirt. She was so confused when he overturned the back of dirt, dumping it all over the ground and then pulling her on top it. It became clear when he pulled out a beautiful rose gold ring and got down on one knee what was happening- he was proposing to her on Texas soil!

Connor had planned ahead and packed a bag of dirt before their trip so he could give Khayla the proposal she always dreamed of, on Texas soil. Of course Khayla was overjoyed at the romantic gesture and threw herself into his arms immediately! Naturally, I had to travel to Texas and get photos of them in their natural element, and I was thrilled to see how cute and caring they were towards each other!

Khayla, you’ve always been such an amazing friend to me, and the world’s greatest hype woman!! Not to mention you and Connor introduced me to Jus Mac, which is a blessing in and of itself. I hope I can be the same support for you during your wedding as you were for me during mine. You found yourself such a cute fiancée, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you beautiful souls!
