Mairi + Jacob

Blind Date / Stranger Session

Mairi and Jacob stood back to back waiting in anticipation to see each other for the first time on their blind date photoshoot. Can you imagine your heart pumping? Your mind teeming with suspense? Mairi and Jacob waited, their excitement building. They had never seen or even Facebook stalked each other before! After what seemed like forever they both took a deep breath and turned around. Both of them had been anticipating this moment for a while, and the romantic tension of finally seeing each other sent Mairi spiraling into a fit of giggles. They are so cute together, you’d never know looking from the outside that they were total strangers!

When looking for someone to pair with Mairi for this shoot, I came across Jacob through a mutual friend and instantly knew he would be my choice for her. Both of them come from farming families. They both belong to the same religion, and they both love adventurous outdoor activities. Jacob had even spent his Christmas volunteering in Mexico! After watching them giggle and learn about each other through the shoot, I knew my matchmaking skills hadn’t failed me.

I’m sure you’re all wondering how these guys felt about it! They really hit it off in front of the camera, but where things get interesting is what happened at the end of the session. Once the camera was put away, Jacob and Mairi had a chance to talk together a bit more freely, and Jacob asked her if she would be interested in going on a real date sometime. Mairi blushed and said yes, and the two exchanged phone numbers!

I haven’t gotten an update yet on how the date went, but now my head is filled with dreams of maybe future wedding between these guys? Who knows? Only time will tell. Even if things never actually progress to a relationship, they were soooo cute and this was some of the most fun I’ve ever had!
