Melissa stopped her scrolling when she landed on Michael. A swipe right for sure! She even took that extra step to send him a message. Unfortunately, what she hadn’t realized is that Michael’s profile was set up by a friend- and he never checked it. Hope was not lost though, and she later realized they had a mutual friend together through his work! She used her sweet charm and stunning beauty to land a date with him.

All had been going well until tragedy struck on their third date. Michael had taken them to a seafood restaurant for Melissa’s birthday. They had started on their entrees when Melissa broke out into a severe allergic reaction- I’m talking hives, swelling, the whole deal! It was so bad, they actually had to end their date early to drive around looking for an emergency room! They almost made it “’til death do we part” right then and there! Luckily, the allergies subsided, and Michael wasn’t the list bit deterred by the scare.

One year later, they went out for Melissa’s birthday again. Michael, being the romantic that he is, decided to recreate that unforgettable date they had the previous year. Of course, he was hoping that this time they would do without the visit to the emergency room! They dined on sushi and Crumbl cookies (my kind of people!) before Michael knelt down on one knee and asked Melissa to be his forever. Of course Melissa said yes!

Their families were overjoyed! Michael’s daughter, Izzy, even accompanied them to their engagement session, and stuck by her dad’s side during their gorgeous summer wedding.

Melissa and Michael, you guys are the sweetest couple, and you’re going to make the most beautiful family together! I truly feel so honored that I was chosen to capture these special moments. You’ve been through thick and thin already, and I have no doubt that your wedding is going to be one of the happiest days of your lives!
