They both may have been in Utah, but it took a trip to Japan for fate to bring them together! After becoming close on their trip overseas, the two could not keep apart from one another, and Chen spent every free moment with Mia and her sisters. As Mia’s Dad explained in his toast, Chen was always up for any activity the girls suggested with a smile on his face. Skiing, hiking, travelling…these two have really had some amazing experiences together! In his vows, Chen even promised Mia to support her in all her endeavors- including her desire to swim with sharks in a shark tank!
Mia and Chen are extremely close to their families, and Mia’s best friend is her sister, Myra. Although Myra expressed some sadness at her sister getting married because “my go-to person now has another go-to person”, after all that time spent together, she couldn’t deny that Chen was a perfect match for Mia. The two were head over heels for each other.
Their passion even garnered some teasing from one of Chen’s groomsmen! During his toast, he recounted when they first got together saying “Chen couldn’t just tell Mia ‘Hey, I like you, let’s go out’. Instead, the very first time he confessed his feelings for her, he proclaimed his undying love for her!”
Mia and Chen, I absolutely loved hearing about all your crazy adventures together, and the absolute passion and commitment you have for one another. You two are so clearly in love, and watching you share these moments together on your wedding day is a memory that will be hard to forget. I hope you never stop exploring and growing even closer as husband and wife.
