Noel + Kyle

Engagement Session

“Our love was written in the stars.” Although Kyle and Noel met in 7th grade, they would have years before they would find their way to one another. After high school Kyle left on a European trip to study abroad while Noel moved around, feeling as though there was something more for her in the future. This feeling led her to Utah, all around Washington, and finally back to Kyle’s home town. One night, she began swiping through Tinder when that cute boy from high school, Kyle, popped on the screen! Noel and Kyle, after having been parted for years, matched and began to date. Even though they hadn’t known each other well in the past, when they reconnected they instantly felt like old friends. They called each other every night after that. Despite living a few hours apart, physically far from one another, they became closer than ever.

After a few years of dating, and many adventures together, the two planned a romantic getaway in Oregon. The warm shores, the glittering ocean, and teeming forests set the scene for the perfect proposal. Noel, giddy with thoughts of a possible engagement, was ecstatic to have the change for a lovely vacation with the person (and the pugs!) she loved most. She was looking forward to watching her cute dogs experience the ocean for the first time, and see the world through their eyes. But after a romantic dinner in a gorgeous setting without a proposal, her hope began to waiver. Little did she know what would happen next!

The next day Kyle and Noel decided to take their adorable pugs, Rocko and Ollie, to explore the national parks. While on the trail they stopped at a stunning cliffside with a view of the ocean. The crashing waves against the rocks below was staggeringly beautiful in contrast with the mossy trees and peaceful undergrowth they walked in. But Rocko and Ollie became a little too fascinated with this ocean overhang. Noel, desperate to grab their attention and lead them away from the cliffside, turned to ask Kyle for help but found him on one knee instead! Before Noel could answer his proposal with a resounding yes, she had to wrangle her dogs from the cliff side. The moment, although a little chaotic, was the perfect start to their new love story as fiancées.

Noel, I am so happy and proud to call you my best friend. You are without a doubt one of the kindest and strongest people I have ever known. And I am so happy to have taken part in this magical time of your life! Friends are notoriously strict and picky when it comes to judging their friend’s significant others, but I have no doubt in my mind that you have found your match. You and Kyle are perfect for each other. It brings my heart so much peace and joy to see you both so happy. I wish you both a long lifetime of finding comfort, love, and support in each other’s arms.
