Sophie and Veronica’s spring engagement photos in Raleigh really showed off their closeness and intense love for each other. From the beginning, Sophie and Veronica knew they had found something special. Conversation came naturally from the moment they met, and there was a genuine connection they had never felt before! They explained it to me with some iconic lines of one of Sophie’s favorite music artists- Just like the Taylor Swift song goes, “I see sparks fly whenever you smile”, that’s the epitome of what it felt like to be around one another…and it still feels that way!

After a day in June, filled with exploring the Pride festival together, Veronica knew Sophie would want a more quiet and romantic setting to be proposed to. When the festival ended, she took her to a dock on Lake Lynn for a more intimate setting. Veronica went on to hold Sophie and say how much she loved her, how grateful she was to have Sophie in her life, and how she was excited to see what the future held for them. Sophie blushed & looked at Veronica in admiration.

She had never felt so loved & appreciated before…that’s when it happened…before Sophie had long enough to blink, Veronica was getting down on one knee and pulling the ring of Sophie’s dreams out of her pocket. It was rose gold with an opal stone in the middle! Sophie was so taken back – in a good way – that she told Veronica to “Stop, stop, stop..”. It just didn’t seem real! Sophie was in the best kind of shock. But, when Veronica could finally get a word in and asked, “Will you marry me?”, Sophie answered without hesitation and with a BIG. FAT. “YES!”

Sophie and Veronica, I had the most fun with you guys at your session, and these spring engagement photos have already stolen my heart! My favorite couples are those who are best friends with each other- and I can tell that’s exactly the type of relationship you have! I am so happy for you two, and I can’t wait until your wedding day! I can already tell you’re both going to be such beautiful and joyful brides!
