Outdoor Ceremony at Delaney Ridge Venue near Ashville
Erin and Will were married on an absolutely gorgeous day at Delaney Ridge. The weather was perfect, and the sun was shining all day long. But the best part of their wedding day was that it was full of personal details unique to them! It was beautiful to see their personalities expressed so vividly. Every element was carefully chosen and thought out, and it really made me feel like I was part of their story!
As the girls got ready in the Delaney Ridge bridal suite, I learned how bride created her own shoes by adding on embellishments to her heels. The shoes also doubled as her “something blue”. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that instead of the traditional bouquets, Erin opted to have her bridesmaids hold floral hoops. I love the way the hoops look in photos! Plus, it’s such a unique and elegant way to give your bridesmaids florals.
Erin and Will are big travelers and adventurers. Will’s car has a special place in his heart since it takes them to all their adventures together. His car is also where the couple will be honeymooning as they travel after their wedding! We had to get some pictures of them with the car and the rooftop tent at Delaney Ridge before they drove away in it that night.
Fun and Games at their Delaney Ridge Reception
When I entered into the Delaney Ridge reception hall, I could immediately see how much love and attention was put into this day. The couple’s family had scoured the country for months, visiting hundreds of shops, to acquire a varied collection of beautiful antique china for the place settings. Even though every cup, plate, and silverware set were different, it all came together to create one of the most lovely, touchingly special setups I have ever seen.
Erin and Will’s wedding was a great day for a lot of reasons. Not only did it have a wonderful location at the gorgeous Delaney Ridge, but it was also very laid back and fun. Erin and Will weren’t the dancing types, aside from the traditional reception dances. So instead of the standard dance floor, they had board games laid out on every table! There was cornhole in yard, and even their guest book was to sign a deck of cards! Everyone enjoyed themselves. I thought it was such a cute twist on a traditional reception!
It’s hard not to get emotional when you’re around people who are so happy on their wedding day. Erin and Will had such a great time together as husband and wife that I couldn’t help but feel included in their joy. They were just so genuine with each other! I think that’s something we all strive for in our friendships: being able to share ourselves with the people who mean most to us without fear or judgment. Their distinctive wedding at Delaney Ridge is one I will never forget!
