Allie and Matt’s wedding day at the botanical garden was pure magic from beginning to end. The whole place was bursting with color—soft pinks, fresh greens, and all the dreamy spring tones that fit right in with the gardens. The air felt electric with excitement, even as dark clouds rolled in. Everyone was hoping the rain would pass, but when a storm settled in, they made the call to move the ceremony inside. And honestly? It didn’t take away from the magic one bit. Matt gave a beautiful speech that made everyone tear up, saying that even though they had hoped for sunnier skies, the weather didn’t end up mattering one bit because being surrounded by their closest people made it absolutely perfect.

Their day was filled with sweet, personal touches. Before the ceremony, Allie and Matt shared a private first look where they exchanged vows, just the two of them tucked away under the trellis in a quiet corner of the garden. It was emotional and real, and still, when Allie walked down the aisle later, Matt teared up all over again. They also honored Matt’s Jewish background with some beautiful traditions—stomping the glass, cutting the challah, and one of the most energetic horas I’ve ever seen (I may or may not have dodged a flying chair or two while snapping photos). Their people showed up with so much love, and it felt like every single guest there truly knew them and cared deeply about them.

I couldn’t be more grateful to have been part of their day. Allie and Matt are the kind of couple who bring joy with them wherever they go, and their wedding was such a reflection of that. Tight-knit families, ride-or-die friendships, so much laughter, and a few rain-soaked shoes… it was everything a wedding should be. I’m honored I got to capture these moments for them and tell a small piece of their story!
