There’s something about November light…soft, warm, and just a little bit golden, that makes fall engagement photos feel like a little love story unfolding frame by frame. That was exactly the vibe with Abby and Jensen in MarshallPark this past November.
They spent the afternoon wandering under the yellow ginkgo tree and along the park’s winding paths, letting the moment unfold naturally. Abby and Jensen have this effortless ease together, like they’ve known each other forever and it feels like they’re still in that sweet early chapter where every laugh feels new and every look is full of meaning.
The leaves were just starting to carpet the ground in rich oranges and golds, and it made every shot glow. One of my favorites moments was in front of my favorite tree (the ginkgo tree), wrapped in each other’s arms, with that late-fall sunshine filtering through the trees behind them. It didn’t feel staged. It felt real and intimate. They laughed easily, teased each other in that cute way only couples do, and let their personalities shine.
As the sun dipped lower, they made their way down to the edge of the park where the city skyline peeks through the branches. That contrast, the organic fall setting against Charlotte’s architecture, made for some of the most dynamic frames of the whole session.
By the end, their cheeks were rosy from the cool air and their smiles were wide. It was one of those sessions that feels like capturing a memory rather than just taking photos. Abby and Jensen’s connection is the kind that makes every picture feel like a page out of a love story.
