Kati + Curtis

Engagement Session

Kati and Curtis brought their dogs along to take some beautiful city engagement photos at Marshall Park in Charlotte! It was a crisp November afternoon, and there were still remnants of the vibrant fall colors left in the park. Kati and Curtis had the cutest outfits on that really complimented the scenery and looked fantastic together!

The city skyline was visible in the background on one end, but there were so many lovely spots around with the lake that we spent the whole session going from one side of the park to the other. I think the pups enjoyed the outing almost as much as we did!

Kati and Curtis had an adorable story of how they got together. Apparently they had already known each other for years—they grew up together in Ohio! They even went to high school together, but knew each other just as friends. However over 10 years ago, Kati moved to Charlotte, leaving Curtis behind in Ohio. I’m sure they thought that was the last they’d ever see of one another, but fate had other plans.

Curtis had a nephew that was born here, and while visiting the new baby was able to reconnect with Kati! Reconnecting here in Charlotte was just the spark they needed. Curtis moved to Charlotte 5 years ago, and he and Kati are now engaged! These city engagement photos of them are some of my favorites. You can just see how much fun they have together, and I love how sweet they are!

I had the most wonderful time photographing Kati and Curtis! City engagement photos are always so romantic, and getting to take them with such an adorable couple made for a beautiful and fun experience. I can’t wait to see them as bride and groom at their wedding in May. Who knows, we might even be able to see the pups, Chubbs and Dexter, make another appearance!
