A classic city-chic day for the sweetest couple! Lauren and Joey tied the knot at the JW Marriott Charlotte, and their vision was exactly what we love to photograph: simplicity, clean lines, and timeless style. From the start, everything felt intentional and elegant—an uptown celebration that let their love (and happy tears!) take center stage.

We kicked things off with some of the wedding details while the couple was getting ready so we could capture all the pretty before the whirlwind began. Hair and makeup by Beauty Asylum had the glam, and with so many bridesmaids and groomsmen, the getting-ready rooms were buzzing in the best way.

Lauren and Joey chose to have a first look before their ceremony (10/10 recommend if you want a calm moment together!), and it set the tone for the rest of the day. They were joyful, relaxed, and full of those “can’t-stop-smiling” glances. We flowed right into bridal party portraits and then family photos, keeping things smooth and stress-free so everyone could enjoy more of the celebration.

Their ceremony began at at the hotel, followed by cocktail hour and dinner as the ballroom glowed. Navy, white, and fresh greens felt crisp and modern in the beautiful space. After introductions and dances, it was pure party energy all night- exactly the vibe they’d hoped for.

Some of my favorite touches? A packed dance floor (they told me ahead of time they were most excited for vows and dancing, and they delivered!), a live painter capturing the magic in real time, and a photobooth that kept guests giggling in between songs. All the little pieces worked together so seamlessly. Teamwork from their vendors and thoughtful planning made everything feel effortless.

Lauren and Joey, thank you for inviting my team into such a meaningful day. Your warmth, your people, and your classic-but-totally-you style made this wedding a dream. I’m cheering loud for you two! Wishing you a lifetime of the same joy you shared on the dance floor.
