I recently had the pleasure of photographing a truly special wedding. The bride and groom were both doctors, with a unique and touching love story that brought them together despite living on opposite sides of the world.
Natha, who lived in Thailand, and Don, who lived in North Carolina, first connected when he needed help in her area of expertise. Using that as an excuse to reach out, they hit it off and began dating long-distance for several years. Even with the challenges of Covid restrictions, they made sacrifices to fly to each other and visit whenever possible. The flight from North Carolina to Thailand is over an entire day long, and Don had a week long mandatory quarantine upon arrival in Thailand. But their time together was worth the work, and their relationship grew despite the obstacles.
Their wedding day was a testament to their enduring love and their commitment to one another. The ceremony was held in a beautiful outdoor setting, surrounded by loved ones, and was so touching the couple was moved to tears while reading their vows!
One of my favorite details of the day was the wedding cake, which was made by one of Don’s coworkers. It was a true labor of love, with intricate flowers that reminded you of a watercolor painting!
As a photographer, it was an honor to capture the beauty and emotion of this incredible wedding. From the lush moon arch adorned with flowers, to the jewels Natha brought to connect her with her family, every detail was infused with love and meaning.
Natha and Don proved that love truly knows no boundaries. It was an unforgettable day, and I feel grateful to have been a part of it! Natha and Don, I wish you nothing but a bright and exciting future ahead!
